Because of the size of the Hermle floor standing long-case clocks and the set-up requirements they will be delivered by a skilled technician who will set the clock up and offer our customers full information on how to operate and maintain the clock. Our recommendation is that long-case movements are serviced every 4 to 5 years. We will offer all customers the opportunity to have their floor clocks serviced if required at an additional charge.

In Hermle’s never-ending search for ways to extend the life expectancy of their products, they have introduced the following innovations to the industry: Over 80 years ago they started to use speciality brass for plates and levers to prevent bending during manufacturing processes More recently they have introduced ball bearing steel pinions to reduce wear. Hermle movements are equipped with milled ratchet wheels. Which also include sharp steel clicks and specially designed click springs to prevent spring snap back. Their unbreakable spring material is comparable to similar material used in quality watches. Hermle pendulum movements feature automatic beat features or solid dead beat escapements.
